College basketball band chants racist taunt

Wow, this is just unbelievable. Why? That's all I can ask, is why? Why do that?
Members of the University of Southern Mississippi band chanted racist taunts at a hispanic Kansas State player during the schools' NCAA tournament game on Thursday.

After point guard Angel Rodriguez was fouled late in the first half of the second-round game, a few band members showered the freshman with cries of "where's your green card?"

This is just ignorant people may not see things as bad when they say it but if you think outside the box that person you insulted is effected by your words. Everybody should be equal no matter the skin color. At least the kid is in college getting an education and playing a sport. Most people will never know what collegiate athletes go through to get where they are so judging them on their skin color is very ignorant.

Just think about that kid. He's playing a collegiate sport while getting an education and look at the person who has something to say. Just random students who wish they were in his shoes.
